Boom Cards Purpose: The purpose of this agreement is for LEA to buy, create, store, assign, and (optionally) record student progress on Boom Cards instructional materials. Boom Cards teaching resources are cloud resident and served, instructional-material mini-apps. Teachers create the instructional material mini-apps for personal use, use with colleagues, and/or for distribution (for a fee or no fee) via the Boom Learning Store or through third-party marketplaces. Boom Cards may be assigned in ways that do not collect data or in ways that use the Boom Learning Reports feature to process and report student performance data. Desmos Purpose: Desmos provides digital math tools -- including, but not limited to, a graphing calculator, scientific calculator, four function calculator, geometry tool, and matrix calculator -- through its website and mobile applications. In addition, Desmos has classroom activities that teachers can use to lead a class through mathematical topics in a way that is social and creative. Teachers can use activities created by Desmos, can build their own, and can modify activities created by Desmos or other teachers. Desmos licenses its core technology to textbook publishers, assessment companies, and other organizations that can benefit from our products. Mystery Science Purpose: The services provided are access by the District's teachers and staff to the online digital science curriculum at mysteryscience.com and mysterdoug.com websites. The services are intended for use by teachers and do not require the Districts to provide any Protected Data. The name and email addresses of the District's teachers and staff are collected when accounts are created for them. The websites also collect information on how the District's teachers and staff interact with the services in order for Mystery Science to improve the services and to provide recommendations to users. Student accounts are not created and student emails are not intentionally collected. Teachers are given a student link URL that they may send separately to students who have missed a lesson.
