Approved: Contract is signed and resource is in use.
Approved w/ Guardian Release: Guardians signed a contract to allow a resource to be used in a specific classroom with a specific group of students.
Not Approved: Vendor was unable to sign the contract and, therefore, teachers are not allowed to use the resource with students.
Renewal Pending: District has an active agreement that will expire soon and they are in the process to renew with the vendor.
Did Not Pursue: District determined that the resource does not align with educational goals, therefore, teachers are not allowed to use the resource with students.

Purpose: Gale has enhanced their databases to make it more user-friendly and valuable for students and teachers. As a licensed librarian BMS gets to use the Gale Research Databases for free through the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners. One of the great enhancements that Gale has made is allow students to highlight and take notes on any article in the database and then be able to download it into their Google Drive. I tried it with our fake student Arti Ficial and I believe this would be a really beneficial feature for students & teachers in regards to tracking student progress with research projects. Teachers will also be able to link any article into their Google Classroom. Am I allowed to let my students use this feature or does Gale need to sign-off on a student data privacy agreement before I can teach these features to my students and the teachers in my school? - O'Malley
