Explanation of program:
As they prepare for the transition to high school and new academic and social challenges, teenagers need support for self-directed goal-setting and learning more than ever. Applied Brainology fosters independent learners during this critical time. It reviews the neuroscience behind how the brain becomes smarter, as well as brain-healthy habits, self-regulation.
Quick Overview
3 hours of online activities, 15+ hours of teacher-led instruction
Blended learning or fully remote options available
Tools and templates help students set goals and monitor progress strategies, and other essential SEL/non-cognitive skills.
The program includes planning and goal-setting activities, reflection, self-monitoring, and assessment tools. Through videos, writing prompts, discussion boards, and assessments, students complete an online course in Moodle with teacher guidance. Students can become more effective learners, applying their growth mindset understanding and newly developed strategies to all areas of their lives.
Brainology Applied consists of 3 hours of online content plus 15+ hours of teacher-directed lessons that can be done in-person or remotely.
