Williamsville Central School District Supplemental Software

 

In accordance with New York State Education Law § 2-d, our district strictly adheres to the standards required to protect personally identifiable information (PII) from unauthorized disclosure. Please review the Edlaw 2D FAQ for Teachers as needed.

Under NYS Ed Law 2-d, the District must vet every software platform that handles student PII to ensure it meets rigorous security standards. The list below contains approved supplemental software that has been legally cleared for use in our classrooms. Each of these tools has a signed Data Privacy Agreement (DPA) or is covered under a regional contract (such as through Erie 1 BOCES), ensuring that the vendor does not sell student data, uses encryption and specifies how data is deleted once the contract ends.
