Welcome to the Missouri Student Privacy Alliance.

The Missouri Research and Education Network (MOREnet) is a department within the University of Missouri System. We provide Internet connectivity, essential technical services, resources, training and support to Missouri's public sector entities, including more than 400 K-12 schools. We provide leadership and resources to address common concerns around student data privacy with our consortium members. Our goal is to provide a centralized resource registry by establishing the Missouri Student Privacy Alliance. The alliance will encourage conversations and help our schools set standards of both practice and expectations around student data privacy such that all parties involved will have a common understanding and framework for action.

To this end, the first outcome of the Missouri Alliance is the adoption and implementation of a common Student Data Privacy Agreement to be used by all MOREnet member schools when implementing any online application. By adopting such an agreement all vendors and schools will have common expectations when entering into a relationship or implementation without having to renegotiate terms in every new instance.

This site will be used to communicate to the membership the districts and vendors that have executed the common agreement. This will enable all alliance member districts to understand and leverage current vendor relationships established with other member schools. All MOREnet member K-12 schools are eligible to become a Missouri Alliance member.
